BAPS-CASS Call for Topics

Suggestions for new topic(s)/condition(s) for future BAPS-CASS studies are currently being sought, with a closing date of 29th Novembe

Suggestions for new topic(s)/condition(s) for future BAPS-CASS studies are currently being sought, with a closing date of 29th November although earlier applications are especially welcomed. The process for BAPS-CASS studies is now in two stages. The first stage will be selection of appropriate topic(s)/condition(s). This will be undertaken by the BAPS Research Committee, with Professor Marian Knight advising on feasibility and suitability of the proposed topics. Following selection of the next topic(s)/condition(s), a further call will be made for Lead Investigator(s).  The BAPS-CASS Steering Group will then recommend a Lead Investigator, which will then be submitted for consideration by the BAPS Executive. Only after endorsement by the BAPS Executive will the study and proposed lead investigator formally be accepted into the BAPS-CASS programme.

Please see the attachment ‘Guidance for Submitting an Application for Inclusion of a Study’, which includes the Topic Proposal form and details of how to submit a proposal. Please note that the document also includes details and the forms for selection on the Lead Investigator. These are for information only and should not be completed now.

If you have any questions, please contact Marian Knight ([email protected]) BAPS-CASS Principal Investigator, or Simon Eaton ([email protected]) Chair of the BAPS Research Committee.
