Marian Knight MBE

We would like to extend our warm congratulations to Professor Marian Knight for her well-deserved award of an MBE in the recent New Year’s Honours.
Marian is Professor of Maternal and Child Population Health at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU) in Oxford and has had a close collaboration with BAPS for many years. 
She was instrumental in setting up BAPS-CASS and has led and championed a programme of research to improve neonatal surgical care and outcomes.
In 2012, Marian was awarded one of the first NIHR Research Professorships for her work and she was elected to a prestigious fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences in 2021.
BAPS would like to thank Marian for all her excellent work on behalf of our patients.
