A brand new website offering peace of mind for parents and families of children with kidney conditions was launched on Tuesday 4th March.

For many families, taking in the level of information at the point of their child’s diagnosis can be daunting, so InfoKID, a certified website offering digestible information on over 45 different kidney conditions, their causes and treatment will enable families to learn more about their child’s condition, as and when they are ready to do so.  The site is funded by the British Kidney Patient Association and created jointly by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the British Association for Paediatric Nephrology.

The resource, which was developed with, and is aimed specifically at parents and carers of babies, children and adolescents with kidney conditions, will be easy and free to access.  It will be a valuable reference tool where parents, at their leisure, can learn more about their child’s condition, before or following official diagnosis
