Mr Mohinder Pal Singh (1927 – 2015)

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Mohinder PAL Singh who passed away on 17 March 2015, aged 87 years, from complications of diabetes and cardiac surgery.

He received his primary medical education at Amritsar Medical College. He came to England in the mid-1960s determined to pursue a career in cardiac surgery but eventually specialised in Paediatric Surgery and spent time at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with Peter Rickham.
He was appointed Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at The Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith with sole responsibility for the surgical care of neonates. He was on-call on a 1:1 rota for his entire consultant career at Hammersmith where he remained until retirement in the mid-1990s. He was always immaculate in his attire and a true gentleman.
