This article in Surgical Endoscopy is on the role of CRP as a valid predictor of postoperative complication in both laparoscopic and open colorectal surgeries. Adult cohort, nonetheless highlighted patients’ response following colectomies. It also indirectly implied, in uncomplicated cases, laparoscopy results in less operative trauma as shown by its lower CRP level compared to open approach.
