Guidance for administration of codeine and alternative opioid analgesics in children

In response to the Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) statement published in June 2013, the Royal College of Anaesthetists has collaborated with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland in producing the attached guidance on the use of codeine and alternative opioid analgesics in children.
