Advancing paediatric surgery through education and research

Review of General Paediatric Surgery in Northern Ireland, December 2019

The primary aim of BAPS is to set the standards of care of paediatric surgical practice in the UK and Ireland. In Northern Ireland the RQIA is the independent body responsible for regulating and inspecting these services and this report published in December 2019 makes important recommendations that aim to improve local general paediatric surgical services. I commend this report to members and urge you to assist in its implementation.

Richard Stewart

BAPS President
