Dr Sigmund Ein (known to all as Siggie) died on 25 January 2015. Prof Spitz has written an obituary. You are welcome to add any memories you have of Siggie on this page.

New CEO appointed!

A new post of CEO has been created at BAPS. We made the appointment of the first CEO at the recent Executive meeting.

Award to Prof Agostino Pierro

We are very pleased to announce that Professor Agsostino Pierrro who recently moved from the Institute of Child Health in London to the Children's Hospital in Toronto, Canada, has been awarded an honorary OBE.

Chlorhexidine solution warning

MHRA have written to BAPS to provide some additional information regarding a recent European review on the risk of chemical burns in neonates following the use of chlorhexidine solutions for skin antisepsis

Mr Hugh Greenwood OBE

It is with great sadness that BAPS heard of the death of Mr Hugh Greenwood. This obituary was written by Professor David Lloyd and was originally written for Liverpool University.
